Revolutionary Mid-Range Radar Altimeter Launches for Cutting-Edge UAV Applications!

Ainstein has launched the new US-D1 Pro radar altimeter at XPO25, offering precise altitude control up to 120m and featuring extended range, increased certification compliance, and enhanced environmental resilience

Ainstein, a frontrunner in advanced radar sensing technologies, has unveiled the US-D1 Pro, a state-of-the-art radar altimeter designed for precise altitude management up to 120 meters, catering to a diverse array of drone and unmanned aerial system (UAS) applications.

Building on the achievements of its predecessor, the US-D1, the US-D1 Pro boasts an extended operational range, improved certification adherence, and superior environmental durability, establishing a new benchmark for radar altimetry in aerial systems.

The US-D1 Pro is currently being featured at XPONENTIAL 2025 in Houston at Ainstein’s Booth 3239.

Maggie Williams, Chief Strategy Officer at Ainstein, remarked on the launch, “The US-D1 Pro was specifically designed to address the market’s need for high-performance, mid-range radar altimeters that combine airworthiness with cost-effectiveness.“

Notable Innovations:

  • Expanded Altitude Range
Functions effectively from 0.5 to 120 meters, ensuring precision across a broader spectrum of missions. exceptional Accuracy: Achieves ±0.1 m accuracy at lower altitudes, ideal for vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) operations.
  • Built for Extreme Conditions
With an IP69K rating and operational temperatures ranging from -45°C to 85°C, the US-D1 Pro is designed to excel in the most challenging industrial, maritime, and environmental settings.
  • Compliance with DO-160, DO-178, DO-254
Prepared for manned and certified applications, adhering to aviation industry standards for environmental, software, and hardware compliance.
  • Effortless Integration
Featuring dual CAN FD interfaces, a wide input voltage range of 9–16V, and a compact design, it allows for straightforward integration into both small and large drone platforms.
  • Improved Reliability
The US-D1 Pro is equipped with built-in testing equipment and self-diagnostic capabilities, enhancing safety, efficiency, and dependability.
  • Increased Customization
A plug-in harness design offers users a cost-effective and rapid method to tailor connectors for enhanced flexibility.

Perfect for Critical Missions

Whether utilized for site inspections, powerline surveillance, or othre industrial tasks involving BVLOS operations, the US-D1 Pro empowers drones to operate with unparalleled accuracy. Its dependability and consistency are essential for scenarios where safe flight and precise data acquisition are imperative.

Product Availability

Production shipments are set to commence in August 2025. Pre-orders for the US-D1 Pro can be made through Ainstein, authorized distributors, or integration partners. Join the waitlist here >>
