Introducing the Pulse-40 IMU: A Compact Powerhouse for Precision Navigation

SBG Systems has unveiled the Pulse-40 IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), a tactical-grade device engineered for extraordinary performance in challenging environments. This compact unit is tailored for applications where accuracy and durability are paramount, regardless of the conditions.

Advanced Technology for Superior Performance

The Pulse-40 IMU boasts six degrees of freedom,utilizing state-of-the-art Micro-Electromechanical Systems (MEMS) that incorporate three-axis accelerometers and gyroscopes. Its innovative redundant design allows for a reduction in size while maximizing performance capabilities.

With impressive gyro and accelerometer bias instability ratings of 0.8°/h and 6µg, respectively, the Pulse-40 excels in long-duration dead-reckoning and maintains outstanding heading accuracy.

Robustness in High-vibration Environments

Featuring a remarkably low Vibration Rectification Error (VRE), the Pulse-40 is engineered to endure high-vibration settings, capable of withstanding up to 10 g Root-Mean-Squared (RMS).The device’s reliability during operation is further enhanced by its Continuous Built-In-Test feature, made possible through redundant sensor integration. This capability is crucial for applications where precision is critical.

The Pulse-40 is designed for hassle-free operation, requiring no periodic maintenance. An extensive qualification process, including accelerated aging tests, ensures that the sensor’s performance remains stable over time. Additionally, the Pulse-40 comes with a two-year warranty, providing peace of mind for users.

Thanks to its minimal gyro noise and bias instability, the Pulse-40 delivers optimal navigation performance even in GNSS-challenged or denied environments. Furthermore, it is both export license-free and ITAR-free, making it accessible for a wide range of applications.
