Meteksan Defense has unveiled its cutting-edge MILSAR SAR/MTI Radar, a notable advancement developed under the auspices of the Defense Industry Agency. This innovative system has been successfully integrated into the ANKA Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) utilized by the Turkish Naval Forces Command, marking the commencement of mine detection operations in april.

The MILSAR Radar boasts a complex Moving Target Indication (MTI) feature, enabling the identification and tracking of potential threats.Additionally, its Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) functionality provides high-resolution imagery and thorough ground mapping, even in adverse weather conditions.

Operational Versatility in Challenging Conditions
This radar system empowers UAVs to operate effectively in severe weather scenarios where traditional electro-optical systems may fail, such as during heavy cloud cover. With the integration of MILSAR, Turkey has positioned itself among a select group of nations capable of utilizing UAV radar technology for maritime mine detection.

Weighing under 30 kg, the MILSAR Radar is designed for easy integration into various platforms, offering user-amiable features and the ability to produce high-resolution images from considerable distances. It excels in detecting and tracking moving ground targets, delivering images with a resolution of up to 30 centimeters, regardless of visibility conditions.
Following the emergence of new mine threats, the MILSAR SAR/MTI Radar has been activated in collaboration with the Turkish Naval Forces Command. This system allows for real-time mine detection in SAR mode,capturing detailed images by scanning extensive areas of the sea surface.
