Introducing the Condor GR2S-A4500: A Leap in High-Performance Embedded Computing
EIZO Rugged Solutions has unveiled the Condor GR2S-A4500, a state-of-the-art video graphics and GPGPU output card designed in a 3U OpenVPX form factor. This innovative solution is tailored for high-performance embedded computing (HPEC) systems that adhere to The Open Group’s sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) Technical Standard, Edition 1.0.
Advanced architecture for Enhanced Performance
At the heart of the Condor GR2S-A4500 lies the advanced NVIDIA Ampere architecture, featuring the powerful NVIDIA RTX™ A4500 GPU. This technology enables the card to efficiently process data from various sensors while leveraging machine learning capabilities to provide real-time actionable insights for critical missions. With an impressive 5888 CUDA cores, 46 second-generation RT Cores, and 184 third-generation Tensor Cores, this SOSA-compliant solution excels in multi-intelligence applications that require low-latency data processing, edge computing, electronic warfare (EW), digital signal processing (DSP), AI-driven target detection, airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), as well as other autonomous sensor operations.
Robust Memory and Performance Features
The Condor GR2S-A4500 is equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 video memory, complete with Error Correction Code (ECC) for enhanced reliability. It also incorporates NVIDIA GPUDirect RDMA, which boosts bandwidth speeds, alongside dedicated H.265/H.264 encoding and decoding engines for real-time ISR data collection and analysis. The NVIDIA Ampere 4500 GPU delivers up to 17.66 TFLOPs of FP32 and INT32 floating-point performance, effectively doubling the throughput for matrix operations compared to earlier models, making it ideal for demanding workloads.
Versatile Cooling Options and Compliance Standards
This card is available in both conduction-cooled and air-cooled configurations, with the air-cooled variant offering optional DisplayPort outputs. Like all of EIZO Rugged Solutions’ 3U VPX offerings, the Condor GR2S-A4500 is engineered to comply with MIL-STD-810 standards, ensuring it meets rigorous defense and aerospace environmental requirements for temperature, shock, vibration, and power.
