Introducing the quanta Plus: A Revolutionary GNSS-Aided Inertial Navigation System

SBG Systems has unveiled the Quanta Plus, an advanced GNSS-aided inertial navigation system (INS) designed in a compact OEM format. This lightweight system merges a tactical-grade MEMS IMU with a high-performance GNSS receiver, ensuring dependable position and attitude data, even in environments where GNSS signals are unavailable.The Quanta Plus is designed for seamless integration with LiDAR and various third-party sensors, making it ideal for UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) survey applications.

Key Features and Customization options

The Quanta Plus is equipped with a multitude of features that enhance usability and adaptability across different applications. Users can optimize sensor parameters through customizable motion profiles tailored to specific use cases. The system also includes a built-in PTP server (precise Time Protocol), which guarantees sub-microsecond synchronization with external devices, including LiDAR systems, while still supporting legacy PPS synchronization. Furthermore, it boasts an integrated data logger, an Ethernet interface for effortless integration, and an intuitive web-based configuration interface for straightforward setup and management.

Enhanced Data Processing with Qinertia

One of the standout advantages of the Quanta Plus is its compatibility with Qinertia, SBG Systems’ cutting-edge post-processing software. Qinertia substantially enhances the quality of data collected during missions by utilizing reliable RTK corrections sourced from various CORS networks or by importing data from base stations. This software also boosts the accuracy of position and attitude measurements through both forward and backward processing, effectively integrating GNSS and IMU data for optimal results.

Support for Large-Scale Mapping Applications

Qinertia further extends its capabilities by supporting virtual base stations, making it suitable for extensive corridor mapping and mobile mapping projects. Tailored solutions are available for integrators and OEMs looking to incorporate Qinertia into their data processing products and workflows, ensuring a versatile approach to data management.
