Introducing the 1521: A Versatile MEMS DC Accelerometer for Industrial Applications
The 1521 accelerometer stands out as a robust and economical solution tailored for industrial applications, notably in the realms of drone and robotics manufacturing. It offers a range of g-force options from ±2g to an impressive ±400g, featuring a MEMS capacitive sensing element alongside a specialized integrated circuit (IC) that includes a sense amplifier and a differential output stage.
Encased in a hermetically sealed package, the 1521 utilizes SDI’s advanced MEMS capacitive sensing technology for precise DC measurements. This is complemented by a custom ASIC that integrates both a sense amplifier and a differential output stage, ensuring minimal sensitivity to temperature fluctuations. Each unit is rigorously tested, programmed, and calibrated by SDI, with unique serial numbers affixed to both the top and bottom for straightforward traceability.
