SubC Imaging has successfully integrated its state-of-the-art technology into two innovative drop camera systems offered by Ashtead Technology, a prominent provider of subsea equipment rentals for the global offshore energy industry.

These systems showcase the remarkable features of SubC’s Rayfin camera and DVR technology,establishing new standards for underwater visual assessments.

Leading-Edge Imaging Solutions

the latest advancements from SubC Imaging form the backbone of Ashtead Technology’s standard and Mini Drop Camera Systems. Renowned for producing high-definition underwater visuals, SubC’s Rayfin camera and DVR technology ensure extraordinary clarity and dependability in challenging underwater conditions.

Ashtead’s Standard drop Camera System offers continuous streaming of real-time HD 1080p video, alongside capturing 12.3MP still images and 4K video, making it ideal for intricate seabed inspections at depths reaching 4000 meters.

On the other hand,the Mini Drop Camera System,equipped with SubC’s new Rayfin Micro 500m camera,provides high-definition HD 1080p video and 12.3MP still images, making it perfectly suited for inshore and inland surveys.

Diverse subsea applications

The technology from subc Imaging embedded in these drop camera systems facilitates a broad spectrum of underwater applications, such as environmental seabed surveys, inspections of pipelines and cable routes, and scientific research. These adaptable solutions cater to both deep-water and shallow-water projects, guaranteeing accurate and reliable data collection.

The Standard Drop Camera System is engineered for high-resolution seabed visual inspections, rated for depths of 1000 meters with an optional enhancement to 4000 meters. It incorporates SubC’s advanced Rayfin camera and DVR+ Overlay, combined with ashtead’s telemetry and control software for smooth operation.

Conversely, the Mini Drop Camera System is lightweight and portable, making it ideal for rapid deployments from smaller vessels.It features SubC’s Rayfin Micro 500m ROV Camera,providing a compact and versatile solution without sacrificing image quality.

Notable features of this compact yet powerful camera include real-time transmission of digital still images with strobe synchronization, live Ethernet HD video to the surface, overlay capabilities, data logging, and image enhancement functionalities.
