H3 Dynamics has officially unveiled H2FIELD, a revolutionary hydrogen trailer designed for on-site hydrogen production tailored for H2 UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles).
This innovative solution ensures a continuous hydrogen supply around the clock, catering to hydrogen-powered multirotors, VTOL UAVs, and fixed-wing unmanned systems. The H2FIELD’s robust IP-65 trailer-based design addresses the critical issue of hydrogen accessibility in remote locations, effectively removing a significant logistical hurdle for an expanding community of hydrogen drone operators across industrial, defense, and research fields. The sole input required is water.
H3 Dynamics’ compact system not only generates hydrogen on-site but also offers various configurations for filling, with options for both slow and rapid charging that can take mere minutes, depending on user needs.
The H2FIELD utilizes a combination of water and electricity to produce hydrogen through electrolysis, achieving an impressive purity level of 99.999% through further concentration. Additionally, it can be detached for permanent installation and linked to solar panel systems.
Safety is a priority, featuring integrated fill monitoring that adjusts operations based on temperature, along with gas sensors and venting fans to ensure secure functioning.
Taras Wankewycz, CEO and co-founder of H3 Dynamics, stated, “We are at the forefront of advancing larger hydrogen-powered flight platforms, where the challenges of testing, certification, and regulatory approval differ based on the weight of the aircraft. Our goal is to enhance hydrogen technology within the current uncrewed aviation sector, which includes developing efficient hydrogen logistics and refueling systems.”
