Innovative Collaboration: Anduril and Trillium Engineering

Anduril Industries has joined forces with Trillium Engineering to enhance the capabilities of the Ghost unmanned aerial system (UAS) by integrating the advanced HD45 EO/IR camera system, specifically designed for military applications.

Introducing the HD45 EO/IR Camera System

The Trillium HD45-LV-CZ-GS represents a cutting-edge, stabilized EO/IR camera system tailored for small unmanned platforms. This 4.5-inch class device combines the lightweight durability of the HD40 with the superior imaging capabilities of the HD55, making it a formidable tool for aerial surveillance.

Advanced Features and capabilities

Equipped with a sophisticated gimbal system, the HD45 boasts integrated video processing, electronic stabilization, and scene tracking. It features onboard GPS/INS for real-time tracking of both the vehicle and its targets, enabling operations in both day and night conditions through its visible and thermal imaging capabilities. The direct drive motors provide exceptional stabilization, ensuring high-quality imagery even in challenging environments.

Ghost: A Versatile UAS

The Ghost UAS is engineered for real-time intelligence gathering, surveillance, and multi-mission reconnaissance, offering up to 55 minutes of uninterrupted flight time with near-silent operation. Powered by Lattice OS, an artificial intelligence system, the Ghost enhances aviation capabilities considerably. Its design facilitates easy integration of payloads and straightforward field maintenance, allowing for the seamless installation of the Trillium HD45 camera. The single-rotor configuration enables vertical takeoff and precise landings in restricted areas.

Real-World applications

The combination of the HD45 camera and the Ghost UAS is currently being utilized by military personnel, providing them with critical information to make informed decisions in the field. This partnership exemplifies the ongoing evolution of unmanned systems in military operations, enhancing situational awareness and operational effectiveness.
