SkyLift has successfully utilized FlyingBasket’s state-of-the-art heavy-lift drones for a groundbreaking offshore operation, effectively transporting essential equipment from a cargo vessel to wind turbines owned by Ørsted.

Efficient Cargo Delivery to Wind Turbines

During this operation, SkyLift employed FlyingBasket’s drones to deliver cargo boxes weighing approximately 85 kilograms each to a total of 94 wind turbines. Over the course of the 10-day mission, an notable 5,460 kilograms of equipment was transported.

Mission Overview and Achievements

This operation took place in the North Sea, specifically in Dutch waters, showcasing SkyLift’s capability to execute rapid deliveries, achieving up to 20 deliveries per day. The mission commenced on July 29th and concluded after 10 days, with the distance from the ship to the wind turbines being approximately 150 meters.

The successful execution of this mission underscores the potential of innovative technologies to enhance the efficiency and reliability of offshore wind farms, thereby promoting the adoption of renewable energy solutions.
