BotBlox’s Nano Ethernet Switch.
Telerobot (DA_TLR) is at the forefront of engineering solutions designed for extreme, hard-to-reach, and complex operational environments.
Identifying the Technological Challenge
In a meaningful collaboration with Fusion for energy, DA_TLR faced a pivotal challenge while developing a compact inspection robotic platform. This groundbreaking initiative incorporated the SwitchBlox Nano along with an unmanaged networking component. The primary goal was to ensure reliable communication between two devices while maintaining network redundancy. However,a dual connection between switches posed a risk of configuration failure due to potential looping issues.
The project required specific technical criteria, including compact, intelligent Ethernet switches that could operate at 100MB in environments with magnetic interference, utilizing halogen-free components. Faced with market constraints,Danieli Automation turned to BotBlox for innovative solutions.
BotBlox’s Innovative Solution
In response, BotBlox introduced the SwitchBlox Nano, a compact Ethernet switch that perfectly aligned with the project’s requirements. This miniature networking device features three 10/100MB Ethernet ports, each smaller than a quarter. To ensure compatibility with magnetic fields, BotBlox’s engineering team conducted extensive susceptibility tests, confirming stable data transmission even in challenging electromagnetic environments.
Outcomes Achieved
