Vision4ce has introduced the CHARM-100NX, an advanced video processing unit designed for UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) and other unmanned systems, offering a suite of sophisticated video tracking and image processing features while enabling low-latency video streaming.

This ARM-based embedded device incorporates Vision4ce’s exclusive DART (detection and Acquisition with Robust Tracking) software for video tracking. With a compact design measuring only 100 x 100 x 20mm, it is indeed perfectly suited for drones and robotics where space and weight are critical factors.

The CHARM-100NX is capable of capturing various video inputs, ranging from analog signals to 3G-SDI, and can encode and stream these using RTSP or MPEG-TS protocols with latency under 40 milliseconds (equivalent to 2 frames). This device allows for the integration of video processing capabilities such as multi-object tracking, classification, stabilization, and image fusion, creating a versatile and powerful image processing subsystem.
