Expanding Horizons: Silicon Sensing’s New US Office
Silicon Sensing is poised to launch its inaugural office in the United States, aiming to effectively cater to the surging demand for their robust, high-performance inertial products throughout North and South America.
Diverse Applications of Inertial Technology
Silicon Sensing specializes in providing gyroscopes, accelerometers, and inertial measurement units across a variety of sectors, including autonomous vehicles, surveying, aerospace, defense, and industrial machinery. Thes sectors are projected to witness a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in the double digits for inertial sensors leading up to 2030, driven by rapidly evolving requirements for next-generation applications.
Strategic Location and Team Structure
The new office will be located in Lake Mary, Florida, and will feature a dedicated team that can effectively cover all U.S. time zones, while also facilitating direct interaction with clients in South America and Canada. This initiative will be spearheaded by Kevin Swain, the newly appointed Head of Sales for the Americas.
Commitment to Customer Support
Swain remarked, “Our primary objective is to ensure that our current clients in both commercial and defense sectors recieve the support they need, acknowledging the critical nature of their projects. Additionally, we aim to provide prompt responses to inquiries from potential new customers in the region.”
“These are thrilling times as we frequently engage in discussions about innovative and sometiems unexpected projects that necessitate reliable and precise motion sensing. This office will serve as a local point of contact for those conversations.”
Future Growth and Innovations
David Somerville, General Manager at Silicon Sensing, stated, “This advancement is a significant milestone for us, reflecting the increasing demand for our products in the region. This growth is expected to persist as the need for precision motion sensing escalates for increasingly compact platforms, whether they operate on land, sea, air, or in space.”
“We anticipate that our next generation of products, currently under development, will elevate micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) inertial performance to unprecedented levels, transforming the capabilities of this technology. Establishing a presence in North America will ensure we are equipped to provide effective and responsive support in the region.”
