Introducing the Next Generation of ellipse inertial Sensors by SBG Systems
SBG Systems has unveiled the latest iteration of its Ellipse Series miniature inertial sensors, now in its third generation. This lineup includes four distinct models: the Ellipse-A motion sensor, the Ellipse-E INS with capabilities for external GNSS receivers, the Ellipse-N featuring a single antenna RTK GNSS/INS, and the ellipse-D, which boasts a dual-antenna RTK GNSS/INS configuration.
Lightweight Design for Unmanned Systems
These sensors are engineered to be both lightweight and durable, making them perfect for unmanned systems like UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) and UGVs (unmanned ground vehicles). Customers can choose between a sturdy aluminum casing or board-level units that weigh a mere 17 grams, catering to oems and system integrators. The sensors’ low SWaP (size, weight, and power) characteristics optimize space and payload capacity, resulting in extended mission durations and greater operational ranges.
Advanced Technology and Features
All models now incorporate a 64-bit architecture, which enhances the performance of high-precision signal processing algorithms. This includes advanced technologies such as rejection filters and FIR (finite impulse response) filtering. Additionally, every INS model is now equipped with RTK capabilities as a standard feature, and both GNSS/INS units come with an integrated dual-frequency,quad-constellation GNSS receiver, ensuring centimeter-level positioning accuracy and improved orientation precision.
Ellipse-D: Tailored for Drone applications
The Ellipse-D model stands out for drone applications, offering a dual-frequency RTK GNSS receiver that delivers reliable and nearly instantaneous heading information for swift takeoffs. It excels in attitude (0.05°) and heading (0.2°) performance, remaining unaffected by magnetic interferences. The quad-constellation capability allows it to track satellites from GPS,GLONASS,BeiDou,and Galileo simultaneously, enhancing signal availability even in challenging navigation scenarios.
robust Design and Easy integration
Constructed with high-quality industrial-grade components, the Ellipse Series sensors have undergone rigorous testing and calibration under dynamic conditions and across a broad temperature range, ensuring consistent and reliable performance. Integration is straightforward, supported by ROS and PX4 drivers, along with a comprehensive API for developers.
