This initiative enabled the company to confirm that the Quanta Micro not only meets but surpasses its stated specifications, showcasing exceptional performance even in challenging GNSS conditions.
The assessment involved two Quanta Micro units, which were tested under the following configurations:
- GNSS utilizing all four constellations, with RTK and odometer assistance
- GNSS utilizing all four constellations, without RTK or odometer assistance
To evaluate the performance of these units in various ‘virtual configurations’, Qinertia post-processing Software was employed, allowing for a detailed comparison of real-time and RTK performance against PPK performance. Both inertial units were benchmarked against a post-processed FOG-based reference: the company’s Horizon IMU, which is part of its Navsight Solution.
