SBG Systems Unveils Exciting Firmware Upgrade for Inertial Sensors!

SBG Systems has released firmware updates for the company’s Ellipse, Ekinox and Apogee inertial systems, its Navsight motion and navigation

SBG Systems has unveiled important firmware upgrades for its Ellipse,ekinox,and apogee inertial systems,along with enhancements to its Navsight motion and navigation solutions,as well as the Quanta georeferencing tools designed for UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) and UGV (unmanned ground vehicle) mapping applications. These updates introduce a variety of new features and improvements:

Enhancements in Ekinox, Apogee, Navsight, and Quanta – Firmware Version 3.1

  • Introduction of new motion profiles tailored for autonomous trucking operations
  • Enhanced real-time heave performance and accuracy, especially in shallow water environments
  • Upgraded datalogger featuring a more intuitive file structure and a black box mode for better data management
  • Simplified Qinertia PPK workflow with automatic reading of INS settings
  • Refined algorithms designed to boost performance in challenging conditions

Ellipse Series – Firmware Version 1.9 Updates

  • Incorporation of the latest world magnetic model, covering the period from 2020 to 2025
  • Enhanced management of UTC and PPS time to effectively handle noisy PPS signals
  • Shortened alignment times through improved online lever arm estimation
  • New automotive CAN output that provides critical data such as vehicle frame velocities, slip angles, and turning radii
