Unveiling the Latest Features in SightLine Applications’ 3.5.2 Software Update

After extensive advancement, the highly anticipated 3.5.2 software Update from SightLine Applications is now available for users to download. This release introduces a host of enhancements and new features designed to elevate user experience.

Enhanced AI Classifier capabilities

According to Mr. Mark Zanmiller from SightLine, the update brings meaningful advancements to the AI Classifier. “We have refined our detection model to not only identify UAVs but also recognize humans and vehicles,” he explained. “additionally, we are enhancing I/O flexibility, allowing users to integrate multiple USB cameras seamlessly, expanding our compatibility with various camera models.”

Improvements in Detection Modes

Noteworthy upgrades have been made to low slant angle detection modes, which are crucial for PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) applications. The new staring mode ensures that detections remain stable even when the camera is in motion. Users can now define a custom horizon line for their detection regions, enhancing operational precision.

Expanded Classifier Functionality

The AI classifier has evolved to include background classification for people and vehicles, providing users with greater flexibility to tailor the classifier for specific applications. This adaptability is essential for various operational scenarios.

Lens control capabilities have been broadened, allowing for compatibility with a wider array of manufacturers. The introduction of improved exmaple code facilitates the integration of complex detector and lens assemblies, making it easier for customers to implement enhanced lens control and reduce autofocus latency.

Enhanced Video Quality in Challenging Conditions

To improve performance in low-light, foggy, or shaded environments, the software now features enriched enhancement functions. These enhancements provide better color representation in electro-optical (EO) video,making it particularly effective in challenging visibility conditions.Continuous improvements also include deeper controls for DPR/NUC and reductions in heat shimmer and scintillation.
