SightLine Unveils Exciting Upgrades to Video Processor Software!

SightLine Applications has announced the release of version 2.25 of the software for the company’s onboard video processors for advanced

SightLine Applications has unveiled version 2.25 of it’s software designed for onboard video processors utilized in complex camera systems and applications. This latest update introduces enhanced features alongside improvements to existing functionalities and the Panel plus software.

Noteworthy advancements have been made in the Counter-UAS (unmanned aerial system) and tracking capabilities. The introduction of an AI Classifier now includes a Drone detection mode (which requires the Detection – Advanced app bit). This feature employs Deep Learning techniques to classify detected objects as either “drone” or “not drone,” significantly minimizing false positives.

The Dead Pixel Removal and Non-uniformity Correction functionalities streamline the integration of infrared cameras by eliminating the need for a separate DPR/NUC board. Enhancements include onboard calibration for two-point NUC, dead pixel identification, one-point FFC, and the ability to store multiple NUC and DPR tables.

New persistent KLV metadata overlays drastically cut down the number of commands sent to the video processor (this does not require the KLV application bit). Users can now access a variety of text overlay fonts, including Arial, Verdana, and Calibri, available in regular, bold, fixed-width, and non-fixed-width styles, along with a newly introduced text shadow mode. There is also increased adaptability for displaying customer logo watermarks, as well as clean overlay text and Picture-in-Picture (PiP) displays, especially when electronic stabilization borders are extensive.

Additionally, users can now decode H.264/MPEG4 sightline encoded video as a video input source, which is particularly beneficial for simulation and testing environments. This feature is also well-suited for UAV ground station applications, offering HDSDI, HDMI, and analog outputs from the IP video stream.
