Silicon Sensing to Exhibit at Sensors Converge

The company will showcase its full range of MEMS inertial sensors and systems, including gyros, accelerometers and tactical-grade IMUs

Silicon Sensing Systems has confirmed that the company will be exhibiting at the Sensors Converge 2022 trade show, which is taking place from June 27 – 29 in San Jose, California. Silicon Sensing will showcase its full range of MEMS inertial sensors and systems, ranging from miniature navigation and pointing gyros to compact, tactical-grade 9 degree-of-freedom inertial measurement units (IMUs).

With tens of millions of units delivered to customers around the world, Silicon Sensing focuses on delivering robust, ultra-reliable, high-performance MEMS inertial sensors and systems. Each product is based around the company’s unique, patented MEMS gyro design – with every sensor manufactured in their foundry in Japan.

Products on display at Sensors Converge include:

  • Pinpoint – the smallest Silicon Sensing gyro, used in a wide range of applications, rugged and low cost.
  • CMS300 – a robust gyro and dual-axis accelerometer with class-leading bias and noise performance over temperature.
  • CRH03 – a new compact and rugged stand-alone gyro with stable performance over time and temperature.
  • Gemini – a family of high-performance accelerometers delivering precise, dual axis, linear acceleration measurement in a compact, surface-mounted package.
  • DMU11 – a low-cost IMU delivering premium performance for high volume applications.
  • DMU41 – a new tactical-grade IMU delivering market-leading bias instability in a package 50% smaller, lighter, and lower power consumption than its predecessor, competing directly with FOG-based IMUs

Steve Capers, General Manager of Silicon Sensing, commented: “Our team is constantly working to extend the performance boundaries of our silicon MEMS sensors and systems. Today, in critical areas such as bias instability and angle random walk, analysis shows that our small, lightweight, low power consumption devices can deliver performance equivalent to far larger, heavier, and more expensive fibre optic-based units.”

“Among our family of products is a reliable and cost-effective solution to inertial requirement across the spectrum of industrial, commercial and consumer applications. We look forward to discussing a wide range of new opportunities at Sensors Converge this June.”
