Silicon Sensing to Showcase Advanced Inertial Solutions at ISTS 2025

Silicon Sensing will showcase its advanced MEMS inertial technology at ISTS 2025, highlighting recent developments for space exploration and low Earth orbit applications

Silicon Sensing to Showcase Advanced Inertial Solutions at ISTS 2025

Silicon Sensing will be exhibiting from 12th to 18th July at the 35th International Symposium on Space Technology and Science (ISTS) in Tokushima, Japan, at Booth 30.

Silicon Sensing is a developer of MEMS-based inertial navigation and stabilisation technology. The company’s robust all-silicon sensor technology enables accurate and continuous inertial measurement, even on platforms with stringent size and weight constraints.

In two recent developments:

  • In October 2024, Silicon Sensing and Japan’s leading science and technology university, Tokyo Institute of Technology, disclosed the completion of a joint programme testing the capabilities of the company’s DMU41 inertial measurement unit (IMU) for low Earth orbit (LEO) applications.
  • In November 2024, the company confirmed that its smallest sensor, the miniature Pinpoint® gyro, will equip the MARS Phobos moon rover as part of the Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) mission.

The ISTS serves as a forum for engineers, researchers, established corporations, start-ups, and other stakeholders in space-related fields to convene, present their latest findings, and exchange insights and experiences.

This year’s symposium will place particular emphasis on transportation and mobility in space, acknowledging these as fundamental issues in any space exploration endeavour.

Visit Silicon Sensing at Booth 30 during ISTS 2025 to discuss your inertial navigation requirements.
