Innovative Coaxial Drone Architecture
Modular backpack drone with diverse payload options
The Spirit UAS showcases a reliable coaxial design within a compact cylindrical frame, making it easily transportable in a backpack and rapid to set up in the field.
With the capability to carry various payloads concurrently, the Spirit serves as a versatile alternative to multiple drones that would typically operate independently. Its exceptional portability and minimal operational footprint allow it to launch and land on diverse terrains.
all-Weather Performance
Exceptional functionality in adverse conditions

this robust coaxial drone ensures dependable operation even in the harshest conditions, capable of enduring strong winds, heavy rain, snow, sleet, and sand.
Flexible Modular Payloads for Diverse Missions
The Spirit’s modular architecture is designed to accommodate a wide array of current and future payloads, featuring dual attachment points on both the top and bottom for seamless plug-and-play integration. This adaptable system allows you to carry exactly what you need, when and where you need it, without compromise.
Payloads, power sources, and launch mechanisms can be easily connected and disconnected with a simple twist, allowing for a multitude of configurations and enabling the Spirit to undertake missions that customary drone designs cannot. Power and data are efficiently routed to both the top and bottom of the drone’s core, featuring connectivity options such as Pixhawk, high-speed Ethernet, and HDMI.

Ascent AeroSystems is the sole manufacturer of NDAA-compliant, dual-use coaxial unmanned aerial vehicles. Since 2014, we have been designing and producing our family of dual-use small UAVs in the northeastern united States. In April 2024, Ascent was acquired by Robinson Helicopter Company, a commercial helicopter OEM. With Robinson’s over 50 years of FAA-certified manufacturing experience, Ascent’s UAVs, including the spirit and NX30, are manufactured at the Robinson facility using the same materials, processes, and standards as type-certificated aircraft. The Ascent AeroSystems family of sUAVs represents the only aircraft-grade platforms available in their category.
