In response to the increasing demand for high-energy silicon anode batteries, Amprius Technologies has launched new production lines through its contract manufacturing partners.

The newly established production lines are set to deliver an notable manufacturing capacity of up to 800 MWh for Amprius’ sicore pouch cells. This expansion represents a pivotal advancement in the company’s global manufacturing strategy, considerably bolstering its ability to meet the surging demand for its high-performance silicon anode batteries.
Enhanced Access for Customers
These production lines have commenced operations at a facility belonging to one of Amprius’ contract manufacturing partners, specifically tailored for the production of SiCore batteries. This growth enhances customer access to Amprius’ high-energy, high-power silicon anode batteries, particularly for electric mobility applications.
State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Technology
The facility is equipped with cutting-edge battery manufacturing technology and processes, incorporating advanced environmental controls to ensure the highest performance and quality standards for Amprius’ silicon anode cell chemistries. Shipments from these new lines began in October 2024, fulfilling various customer orders, including a notable $20 million contract for Light Electric Vehicles announced in september.
