Taurus AE (Actuator Edition) is a versatile board-level motor controller that features full four-quadrant Field Oriented Control (FOC) and Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) for unparalleled efficiency. The versatile controller offers customized control loops for speed, torque, voltage, power, and other more advanced modes, and can also be overmodulated to maximize peak power output of the motor drive.
Taurus AE supports active regenerative braking, and can also be integrated into a generator system to form the basis of a hybrid electric powertrain. It can be run sensorless, or with feedback from Hall or quadrature sensors.
The system’s software stack is based on allocoretech’s open SDK, enabling users to fully customize the controller to specific requirements for motor control, communications and more.
