The Technology Used to Prevent Human Trafficking

Technology from Revector supports multi-agency operations in disrupting human trafficking, helping to identify both migrant and criminal phones and either monitoring, alerting or building intelligence on criminal behavior

Using UAV Technology to Prevent Human Trafficking

IMSI and WiFi location and intelligence specialist Revector has released an article discussing the challenge in stopping human trafficking and how the company’s technology can be used to disrupt the crime.

The article, “The Challenge to Stop Human Trafficking”, looks at the statistics behind human trafficking, with a belief that an approach including cross-border, national, regional and global collaboration is required to effectively disrupt, and make human trafficking a non-viable business operation.

Among the statistics in Revector’s article, U.S. authorities are said to have encountered migrants nearly 2.4 million times in 2022 on the U.S./Mexico border, and on the English channel approximately 46,000 people were detected crossing in small boats in 2022, with the number close to 29,000 in the first half of 2023.

The article goes on to explore the advanced technologies, including UAV’s, used to stop human trafficking operations, including facial recognition, satellite imagery, and cellphone analytics, to identify possible victims and criminals before they make the hazardous journeys.

Revector can provide an intelligence input for surveillance activities to support multi-agency operations to assist in the disruption of human trafficking, identifying both migrant and criminal phones and either monitoring, alerting or building intelligence on criminal behavior without needing to intercept or take any personal information from migrants devices.

Read the full article on Revector’s website and find out more about the technology being used to halt human trafficking operations.
