UAV Propulsion Tech, a private company representing several international companies that manufacture UAV solutions, has signed a representative agreement with MicroPilot to market their family of autopilots into the US UAV market.

MicroPilot is a manufacturer of professional autopilots for UAVs and serves over 850 clients in over 70 countries. MicroPilot has been in business since 1994 and offers a family of lightweight autopilots for fixed-wing, transitional, helicopter, and multi-rotor UAV’s. Solutions offered include: autopilots (board mount, enclosed and triple redundant), HORIZON Ground Control Software, True Hardware-in-the-Loop (trueHWIL) simulators, and XTENDER autopilot customization software. UAV Propulsion Tech was selected by MicroPilot to expand these solutions into the growing US UAV market.

Howard Loewen, founder and president of MicroPilot said, “The UAV market is expanding exponentially every year in the US so adding UAV Propulsion Tech as the US representative for MicroPilot’s autopilots will help us expand our products into this growing market”. Howard went on to say, “Our MP21283X triple redundant autopilot will allow defense and commercial UAV customers to protect their high value air vehicle/payload assets by improving autopilot reliability which will become more important as the US FAA develops regulations for the commercial market”. Bob Schmidt, founder and president of UAV Propulsion Tech said, “The addition of MicroPilot’s autopilot product line, particularly the triple redundant autopilot solution will expand our US UAV product offerings allowing us to provide solutions that will improve the performance, functionality and reliability of UAV’s”. Bob went on to say, “I want UAV Propulsion Tech to become the place that defense and commercial UAV developers can come to for the most advanced propulsion, servo, autopilot and parachute solutions.”
