Advanced 18-Slot Rugged Test and Deployment System

The 18-Slot Rugged Test and Deployment System by LCR Embedded Systems offers a versatile, high-performance computing and electronics integration solution tailored for unmanned systems operating in challenging environments. This system is built around dual 8-slot backplanes that accommodate VITA 62 power supplies, enabling it to support demanding payload configurations with up to four MIL-compliant power modules. It meets the stringent standards of MIL-STD-704E and MIL-STD-1275, making it suitable for both airborne and vehicular applications.

With a sturdy design that stands at 10.5 inches tall and a compact depth of 19.5 inches—including handles and thermal interfaces—this system is specifically optimized for SWaP-sensitive (Size, Weight, and Power) applications where both space and durability are paramount. It is capable of managing over 1000 watts of thermal design power at altitudes reaching 15,000 feet, and it maintains effective thermal management even at 30,000 feet with a 500-watt load, ensuring reliable performance under high computational or signal processing demands.

Weighing in at approximately 35 to 40 pounds, excluding mission payloads, this lightweight chassis facilitates scalable testing environments and field operations without sacrificing cooling efficiency or backplane density. It is especially well-suited for real-time processing,sensor fusion,and edge AI applications,designed to enhance both laboratory validation and the forward deployment of embedded mission systems.
