Doodle Labs, a leader in mesh networking solutions, is set to deepen its collaboration with British UAV manufacturer Evolve Dynamics.
The Helix Mesh Rider Radios from Doodle Labs will be incorporated as the primary datalink in Evolve Dynamics’ latest flagship drone, the SKY MANTIS 2.
This integration ensures robust connectivity,complete data encryption,and sophisticated interference mitigation,having been rigorously tested in challenging airspace conditions to support Ukrainian defense forces against ongoing Russian jamming efforts.
Innovative Features of the SKY MANTIS 2
Developed through extensive research and development,along with feedback from users across various sectors,the SKY MANTIS 2 comes standard with the Doodle Labs Helix mesh Rider Radio. This feature provides reliable long-range communication, utilizing 256-bit AES encryption and the capability to transmit two simultaneous video feeds (both HD daylight and thermal), telemetry, and command and control data over a single datalink.
Designed specifically for defense applications, the Helix Mesh Rider Radio was developed with support from the U.S. Department of Defense’s Defense Innovation Unit and is included on the Blue UAS program’s Cleared List for components.
Unmatched Performance and Versatility
The SKY MANTIS 2 offers exceptional resilience, enhanced power, and advanced imaging capabilities, along with the reliability that Evolve Dynamics is known for. It operates effectively in extreme whether conditions, supports tethered flight, allows for rapid deployment, and features interchangeable, rapid-release payloads.
In contested environments, operators will benefit from a suite of essential features, including Doodle Labs’ latest anti-jamming technology, improved GPS signals from upgraded GNSS modules, and a high-resolution 61MP camera for superior surveillance capabilities.
This UAV is built to withstand harsh conditions,capable of flying in winds up to 46 mph (75 km/h),heavy rain,and temperatures ranging from -30°C to +50°C. The NDAA-compliant UAS can operate on the Infinity Tether for up to 48 hours, be deployed in under a minute, and perform various tasks with modular payloads, including thermal imaging, MWIR, IMSI Catcher, and HD 30X zoom low-light electro-optical capabilities.
