Introducing the Talon DT-300: A Versatile Electric VTOL UAS
The Talon DT-300 stands out as a fully electric, multi-mission Vertical take-Off and landing (VTOL) Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) that can be effortlessly adapted for various applications. Drawing inspiration from the dual-rotor configuration of the CH-47 Chinook cargo helicopter, this aircraft delivers extraordinary performance within its category, boasting impressive payload capacity, extended range, and minimal radar and acoustic signatures.
Innovative Aerodynamic Design
Engineered for optimal stability and efficiency, the Talon features a tandem arrangement of counter-rotating three-bladed rotors, eliminating the necessity for a tail rotor. This design maximizes lift generation by ensuring that all available power is directed towards it. The incorporation of active blade pitch control allows the aircraft too utilize translation lift during forward flight, enabling the Talon to surpass conventional quadcopters and othre multirotor systems by up to four times in performance metrics.
Portability and Convenience
Constructed from ultra-lightweight carbon composite materials, the fuselage of the Talon DT-300 is designed for easy transport.it features a locking hinge mechanism that allows it to fold into three compact sections, making it highly portable. This design ensures that the aircraft can be conveniently stored in a flight case and easily loaded into a standard estate car by just two individuals.
advanced Payload capabilities
Equipped with a NextVision Raptor EO/IR gimbal, the Talon DT-300 excels in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations, as well as in target detection, identification, and tracking. With a maximum payload capacity of 45 kg,it can also function as a mothership, launching smaller First-Person View (FPV) drones directly from its modular carrier rack.
