Introducing the APACHE3: A Revolutionary Hydrographic Survey Solution
The APACHE3 is an innovative, portable vessel designed with a shallow draft, equipped with a single beam echo sounder specifically for conducting bathymetric surveys in lakes, rivers, and coastal regions. Its master control unit features advanced 4G connectivity, eliminating the constraints associated with conventional network bridge base stations and extending transmission distances, thereby simplifying hydrographic surveying.
Advanced Features of the APACHE3 USV
The APACHE3 USV integrates a dual GNSS positioning system along with a heading sensor, ensuring a stable and reliable hull attitude. This setup, combined with an IMU sensor, allows for continuous surveying even when navigating under bridges. The vessel is powered by high-efficiency motors capable of reaching speeds of up to 5 m/s, utilizing absolute straight-line technology to maintain a predetermined course autonomously, even in challenging current and flow conditions.
Enhanced Capabilities with Water Quality assessment
In addition to its standard configuration, which includes a remote-controlled boat, a single beam echo sounder, and a GNSS IMU sensor, the APACHE3 USV can be outfitted with CHCNAV’s water quality assessment sensor. This additional equipment measures various water quality parameters, including pH, temperature, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen levels. The data collected is invaluable for researchers and engineers working in environmental monitoring and water resource management.
