Unleashing Power: Demolition Robots Equipped with Vanguard Battery Packs for Effortless Cable-Free Mobility

Swappable battery pack, the 48V Si1.5 KWh, and fixed battery pack, the 48V Fi3.5 kWh, work with three ARE demolition robot models, 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0

Revolutionizing Demolition: The Future of Battery-Powered Robotics

Advanced Robotic Engineering (ARE) is set to enhance its lineup of mobile demolition robots with the introduction of Briggs & Stratton’s Vanguard 48V Si1.5kWh swappable and 48V Fi3.5kWh fixed battery systems.

The Challenges of cable Dependency

For years, workers in the demolition sector have faced significant hurdles due to the reliance on cable-powered machinery. This setup frequently enough required one operator to manage the machine while another handled the cumbersome cables, complicating the process of relocating equipment between job sites.

This dependency not only made transportation labor-intensive and time-consuming but also necessitated a larger workforce on-site. such inefficiencies are detrimental in an industry where maximizing uptime and minimizing operational costs are paramount.

Innovative Solutions Through Collaboration

In pursuit of a more streamlined operational approach,ARE collaborated with their technical partner,aDrive, and turned to Briggs & Stratton for their extensive range of Vanguard commercial batteries.

Dawid Majchrzak, CEO of aDrive, remarked, “Initially, ARE developed a custom battery for their robots. However, after witnessing the safety and performance of vanguard batteries in extreme conditions, they opted to incorporate Vanguard technology into their designs.”

Enhanced Performance and Flexibility

The larger ARE 3.0 model utilizes the Vanguard 48V Fi3.5kWh fixed battery, enabling operation for up to 30 minutes on-site. in contrast, the smaller ARE 1.0 and 2.0 models are equipped with a 48V Si1.5kWh swappable battery, allowing for speedy exchanges of depleted batteries with fully charged ones. This feature substantially enhances operational flexibility, freeing up personnel to focus on other tasks.

Addressing Jobsite Mobility Challenges

The Vanguard battery solution addresses critical challenges faced on job sites, facilitating easy movement across various locations, including navigating stairs. This adaptability is particularly beneficial for deploying robots across multiple construction sites for diverse tasks.

While the demolition process still relies on cables, ARE robots uniquely allow simultaneous operation and charging of the integrated Vanguard battery pack, minimizing downtime and enhancing efficiency across different work environments.

Time Savings and Future Implications

“Our calculations indicate that operators can save at least one hour during a typical eight-hour workday by utilizing the ARE/Vanguard hybrid system compared to traditional cable-operated robots,” stated Krzysztof Jakubowski, CEO of Advanced Robotic Engineering (ARE). This innovation is poised to transform the efficiency of demolition operations moving forward.

Industry Impact and Future Prospects

Ladislav Poledna, Buisness Growth Manager for Electrification/Rental EMEA at Briggs & Stratton Vanguard, expressed, “We take immense pride in our groundbreaking technology and are thrilled to see it integrated into pioneering products like the ARE demolition robots. This collaboration is a perfect match.”

Krzysztof Jakubowski further emphasized, “The integration of Vanguard batteries into our demolition robots marks a significant innovation for the construction sector. This hybrid robot will enable users to complete tasks efficiently without the delays associated with charging. We eagerly anticipate industry feedback and operator responses.”
