EIZO Rugged Solutions Unveils Advanced Graphics Cards for Harsh Environments
EIZO Rugged Solutions has introduced two innovative additions to its condor GR2 series of robust 3U VPX graphics and GPGPU cards, leveraging the cutting-edge NVIDIA Turing architecture. These new models,equipped with either the Turing Quadro RTX 3000 or quadro RTX 5000,are specifically designed for real-time data processing and transmission in challenging settings,including applications in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs),digital signal processing (DSP),electronic warfare (EW),and signal intelligence (SIGINT).
Enhanced Video Output and Processing Capabilities
Both models are engineered to support three video outputs,offering configurations that utilize either DisplayPort++ or single-link DVI-D. The NVIDIA turing architecture is equipped with CUDA parallel processing cores, enabling advanced features such as mesh shading, variable rate shading, texture space shading, and multi-view rendering, along with various precision modes.These additional cores facilitate rugged AI applications at the edge, empowering defence developers to harness GPGPU computing for integrating deep learning and AI inference into their next-generation systems.
Real-Time Performance and Advanced Processing
The graphics cards are optimized for real-time performance in encoding tasks, featuring dedicated H.264 and H.265 encoding engines (NVENC) and a specialized decoding core for playback (NVDEC). The GPU memory can be utilized for complex processing tasks, including image analysis, enhancement, 360-degree video stitching, sensor fusion, and target detection through GPGPU (CUDA/opencl), all while maintaining exceptionally low latency.
Customizable Cooling and Output Options
available in both air-cooled and conduction-cooled variants, these cards incorporate thermal-efficient heatsink technology. The 3U VPX cards provide customizable I/O options, including DisplayPort++, single-link DVI-D, and VGA, facilitated by EIZO Rugged Solutions’ Adapt video converter, ensuring versatility for various applications.
