Introducing the KG-255X: A Cutting-Edge Network Encryptor
The KG-255X stands out as a highly adaptable NSA-certified Type 1 Inline Network Encryptor (INE), capable of functioning as either a Layer 3 HAIPE or a Layer 2 EDE.This device ensures secure IP encryption for TS/SCI communications, achieving remarkable throughput rates of up to 2 gbps (1 Gbps aggregate). It accommodates standard copper interfaces alongside single- and multi-mode fiber SFPs.
Enhanced Versatility and Interoperability
Featuring a software-programmable architecture, the KG-255X allows for various configurations, including one-to-one, many-to-one, and many-to-many multicast setups. this adaptability not only enhances operational flexibility but also minimizes administrative burdens. In HAIPE mode, it seamlessly interoperates with other compliant devices and facilitates VLAN/Ethernet tunneling over Layer 3 networks for layer 2 data. In EDE-CIS mode, it directly connects with Viasat’s Type 1 high-speed Ethernet encryptors.
Robust Design for Extreme Conditions
This rugged unit is engineered with an efficient thermal design and power management system, adhering to MIL-STD-810G standards. It also complies with MIL-STD-1275D and MIL-STD-704F specifications, making it suitable for both in-vehicle and airborne applications.
