Unleashing the Skies: High-Power Motors and Propulsion Systems for UAVs

Alva Industries develops drone motors with enhanced thermal, mechanical and electromagnetic properties

Innovative UAV Motor Solutions by Alva Industries

Alva Industries stands at the forefront of developing advanced motors for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and drones. In collaboration with Unmanned Systems Technology (UST), the company showcases its cutting-edge capabilities.Their ‘Gold’ profile emphasizes the remarkable performance of their ironless and slotless motors, specifically engineered for critical missions, ensuring unmatched reliability and durability.

Introducing the X60 Drone Motor

The X60 motor is a powerful solution tailored for industrial hexacopters and octocopters, compatible with 12S battery systems and capable of supporting a maximum takeoff weight of 25 kg. This motor features a FiberPrinted slotless stator paired with a Halbach-array rotor, delivering an energy-efficient design that excels in peak torque and power output.

With a lifespan of 1,000 hours, this robust motor ensures safe landings even in the rare event of a malfunction, making it an excellent choice for missions where safety is paramount. The X60 operates with minimal noise and vibration, promoting near-silent functionality and reducing wear, while its IP55 rating guarantees thorough protection against dust and moisture.

ALTUS Duo: A Comprehensive Propulsion System

The ALTUS Duo represents a highly dependable, fully integrated propulsion system for octocopters, also designed for 12S batteries and a maximum takeoff weight of 25 kg. This high-performance system combines the X60 FiberPrinted motors with custom VESC-based electronic speed controllers and 28-inch factory-balanced propellers, developed in partnership with Mejzlik Propellers.

In the event of a motor failure, the ALTUS Duo can safely land the drone, even in ambient temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius. This makes it an ideal option for critical UAV operations. The system is designed with redundant power units and UAVCAN interaction lines, ensuring reliability and allowing the drone to return home safely in case of a meaningful error.
