HIVE represents a important advancement over ecoSUB Robotics’ previous HERMES C3 (Command, Control, and communications) hub. This innovative system enables seamless connectivity to ecoSUB Autonomous underwater Vehicles (AUVs) through various channels, including Wi-Fi, 3G/4G cellular networks, and Iridium satellite communications. With integrated GPS capabilities, users can manage their AUVs from virtually any location around the globe.

Equipped with a state-of-the-art Sonardyne Micro-Ranger 2 Ultra-short Baseline (USBL) system, HIVE ensures precise vehicle tracking and position adjustments. This feature enhances operational efficiency and accuracy, making it an essential tool for underwater exploration.

The HIVE unit is designed for portability, housed in a robust, waterproof case that includes a rechargeable internal battery.it connects effortlessly to a control PC that runs the ecoSUB Graphical User Interface (GUI) software. Remarkably, a single HIVE unit can manage multiple ecoSUB AUVs simultaneously, allowing for coordinated operations in complex environments.
