Introducing the TriSonica™ Mini by LI-COR Environmental, the lightest and smallest 3D ultrasonic anemometer globally. This compact and durable meteorological device offers unparalleled accuracy and precision, making it perfect for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs, UAS, drones) and various unmanned platforms. Its versatility extends to applications in environmental monitoring, precision agriculture, and wind profiling.
trisonica™ Mini: The Compact 3D Ultrasonic Wind Sensor
The lightest and smallest 3D Ultrasonic Anemometer available
The TriSonica™ Mini is designed to be incredibly compact, fitting comfortably in your hand and weighing only 50 grams. Its lack of moving parts makes it an excellent choice for UAVs and other systems where size, weight, and power (SWaP) are critical.
This sensor provides thorough data outputs, including wind speed, direction, temperature, humidity, pressure, tilt, and compass readings, along with three-dimensional airflow measurements.
Utilizing acoustic wave pulses, the TriSonica™ Mini captures wind movements in three dimensions (pitch, roll, and yaw), delivering high-precision real-time wind data suitable for small drones and mobile platforms.
With four open measurement paths measuring just 35mm, the design minimizes wind field distortion, ensuring redundancy by excluding the path with the most distortion from calculations.
Advanced Weather Monitoring for Drones & UAV Ground Control Stations
The trisonica™ Mini wind and Weather Sensor is lightweight, durable, and maintains accuracy even at tilt angles of up to 15 degrees, making it ideal for dynamic platforms like drones and unmanned surface vessels (USVs).
This sensor can be seamlessly integrated into UAV ground control stations (GCS) and other compact environments where precise environmental data is essential.
Featuring an integrated pipe-mount base, it simplifies installation on multi-rotor unmanned aircraft systems. The base accommodates any 1/2″ DN15 Schedule 10 pipe, with internal wiring to safeguard components. The pipe-mount version utilizes a 12-Pin circular connector, facilitating RS-422 signals and synchronization of multiple instruments.
Constructed from glass-filled nylon and carbon fiber corner rods, the sensor is built for durability, making it suitable for both fixed installations and UAS/drone applications.
The TriSonica™ Mini outputs data in ASCII format via RS-232, allowing for easy storage in text files. Its data emulation feature enables direct connection to existing data loggers without the need for expensive modifications. The output settings can be customized to user specifications, including emulation of various common wind sensors, making it a convenient upgrade from older, bulkier models.
