Introducing the RIEGL VUX-160²³: A Cutting-Edge UAV LiDAR Scanner
The RIEGL VUX-160²³ stands out as a highly adaptable UAV LiDAR scanner, boasting an extraordinary 100-degree field of view and a rapid data acquisition rate reaching up to 2.4 mhz. With the capability to deliver as many as 400 scan lines and 2 million effective measurements per second, it is indeed notably well-suited for corridor mapping applications using fixed-wing UAVs.
Advanced Scanning capabilities
This innovative system employs a measuring beam that scans in three distinct orientations: directly downward, +10° forward, and -10° backward. This multi-directional scanning ensures comprehensive data collection, even in complex environments characterized by vertical structures and narrow canyons. Furthermore, the VUX-160²³ features a multi-target capability, allowing it to detect up to 32 targets per pulse, making it effective in penetrating dense foliage.
Robust Data Management and Integration
equipped with an impressive internal storage capacity of 2 terabytes, the VUX-160²³ can seamlessly connect to external IMU/GNSS systems and up to five external cameras. Additionally, it includes an AP+ board, facilitating smooth integration with Applanix AP+50 and AP+30 IMU/GNSS systems, enhancing its operational versatility.
