The Subsonus Tag is an affordable acoustic positioning transponder specifically engineered for compatibility with our subsonus USBL system.This unit is hermetically sealed and comes equipped with a built-in battery, wireless charging capabilities, and a low-energy, pressure-resistant e-paper display.

One surface Subsonus unit can monitor up to 65,000 Tags, with each tag functioning effectively at distances of up to 1000 meters and depths reaching 2000 meters, all while maintaining operational efficiency for as long as 18 months on a single charge.

The Subsonus Tag excels in remote sensing applications, providing data on position, orientation, heading, and temperature. It is particularly useful for tracking underwater unmanned vehicles, including Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).
