Unlocking the Future: Video Processors Perfectly Matched with the Latest UAV Camera

SightLine Applications has added new compatibility to its video processing solutions for UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) and unmanned

Enhanced Video processing Solutions for UAVs with New Camera Integration

SightLine Applications has broadened the compatibility of its video processing systems for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and other unmanned systems by incorporating the Videology 25Z2.4-36X camera. This advanced 36X optical zoom camera, equipped with a Sony IMX392LQR global shutter sensor, seamlessly integrates with SightLine’s hardware platforms, including the 1500-OEM, 3000-OEM, and 4000-OEM models.

Optimized Performance for High-End UAV Applications

When paired with SightLineS video processing technology, the Videology 25Z2.4-36X camera proves too be an excellent choice for sophisticated UAV applications that demand global shutter capabilities, particularly in environments with notable motion and vibration. the integration of an onboard video processor with this advanced camera system ensures low-latency tracking feedback, which is crucial for precise gimbal control.

Streamlined Features for Enhanced Functionality

sightline’s video processors empower integrators to leverage functionalities that woudl typically necessitate multiple boards, such as stabilization, tracking, on-screen display (OSD), recording, and encoding. The advantages of combining this high-quality global shutter camera with SightLine’s technology include:

  • Global shutter technology eliminates the issues associated with inter-frame rolling shutter effects.
  • An integrated zoom lens featuring autofocus and a narrow field of view (FOV) of less than 2.0 degrees, making it perfect for surveillance tasks.
  • Rapid shutter speeds (external trigger) as speedy as 50µs.
  • Full HD capabilities along with support for various digital video inputs (including daylight and infrared) and multiple video outputs (such as Ethernet streaming in H.264/H.265, HDMI, and HSDSI).

Industry Insights and Future Collaborations

Mark Zimmerman, the Director of Business Growth at SightLine, remarked, “The addition of Videology’s 25Z2.4-36X to our compatible camera lineup enhances our collaborative potential. For aerial applications, we prioritize recommending high-quality global shutter cameras. This partnership opens up exciting avenues for continuous innovation as we work alongside Videology and their clientele.”

Carol Ethier, CEO of Videology Imaging Solutions, expressed enthusiasm about the integration, stating, “We are thrilled to have our new Global Shutter 36X Zoom block camera certified for use with all SightLine platforms. We look forward to supporting SightLine clients with this camera module and aim to expand our range of SightLine-approved cameras, offering options from 10X to 40X optical zoom.”
