Unlocking the Power of LPS Payload: A Game Changer in Data Delivery

The Voliro T UAS is equipped with a lightning protection system (LPS) tester payload that allows for comprehensive circuit resistance evaluations of both onshore and offshore wind turbine LPS. Notably, this process does not necessitate direct access to the hub or nacelle, accept when bridging a spark gap within the hub.The device features a needle probe that can create an electrical connection with lightning receptors,even if they have undergone oxidation,applying a consistent force of 2 kg.

This payload is connected to a ground unit that includes a cable management system and an ohmmeter,which is securely grounded to the base of the inspected turbine or tower. By employing a 4-wire resistance measurement technique, the system effectively eliminates the resistance of the testing cables, ensuring enhanced accuracy in the results.
