Introducing the MILSAR SAR/MTI Radar: A Game-Changer for UAVs
The MILSAR SAR/MTI Radar equips unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with a robust tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capability. This system incorporates Moving Target Indication (MTI) for effective detection and tracking, alongside Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) for high-resolution imaging in all weather conditions and low visibility scenarios, facilitating target classification and ground mapping.
Seamless Integration and Versatility
This cutting-edge radar system is designed to fit seamlessly with standard 15″ Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) gimbals, allowing for easy interchangeability on smaller UAVs that may not have the capacity to carry both systems together. For larger UAV platforms, the MILSAR can operate in a “slew-to-cue” mode, enhancing its effectiveness for extensive area surveillance.
Advanced Imaging Modes for Optimal Performance
MILSAR offers both Stripmap and Spotlight modes, enabling high-resolution imaging over long distances, even in challenging visibility conditions, whether during the day or at night. The radar’s plots and tracks are presented on a geo-referenced display, which can be overlaid on a digital map. Key parameters such as target range, bearing, and speed are instantly available on the operator’s console. The Stripmap mode delivers real-time, precise ground mapping and radar imaging with sub-meter spatial resolution, making it ideal for wide-area surveillance. Conversely, the Spotlight mode is tailored for change detection, feature identification, and classification tasks.
