Introducing PSAR: A Revolutionary Low-SWaP synthetic Aperture Radar
The PSAR (Portable Synthetic Aperture Radar) is a cutting-edge, low-size, weight, adn power (low-SWaP) radar system tailored for high-altitude long-endurance (HALE) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), high-altitude pseudo-satellites (HAPS), unmanned balloons, and various stratospheric platforms.Traditionally, radar systems have been too bulky and heavy for these applications, but PSAR changes the game. Its versatility makes it suitable for numerous tasks, including intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR),search and rescue missions, monitoring sea ice,and coastal mapping.
Advanced Technology and Design
Leveraging IMSAR’s proven NanoSAR technology, the PSAR system features an innovative aluminum antenna that is both additive-manufactured and low-loss. This design not only serves as a structural and thermal component but also facilitates the transmission and reception of radar signals, optimizing both space and weight. The radar unit can seamlessly connect to a Ground Processing Server through a datalink, enabling real-time data analysis and processing.
User-Friendly Control and Integration
The PSAR system is operated through IMSAR’s user-friendly Lisa 3D Command and Control (C2) software, which also includes Processing,Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) capabilities. Additionally, a Radar Control API is available, allowing for straightforward integration with third-party applications and custom software solutions.
