Innovative Collaboration: Elbit Systems adn videoray Enhance Remote operations
Elbit Systems, in partnership with VideoRay, has successfully conducted tests involving the VideoRay Pro 4 remotely operated vehicle (ROV) utilizing a satellite dialog link.Although remote operations of VideoRay vehicles have been executed in various locations over recent years, this marks the inaugural use of satellite technology for such operations. The VideoRay systems are now integrated as one of several payload options that can be swiftly deployed on Elbit’s Seagull unmanned surface vessel (USV), considerably broadening the scope of potential missions.
Advanced Mine Countermeasure Capabilities
The Seagull USV from Elbit Systems boasts advanced Mine Countermeasure (MCM) capabilities, enabling comprehensive mine hunting operations. This includes the detection, classification, localization, identification, and neutralization of both bottom moored and drifting sea mines, all while ensuring the safety of personnel by keeping them away from hazardous areas. the VideoRay Pro ROV is engineered to dive to depths of 300 meters and can operate effectively in currents of up to 4 knots, equipped with a diverse array of instruments and accessories.
Global Reach and Control
The synergy between Elbit Systems and VideoRay empowers the deployment of the videoray Pro 4 ROV in any location worldwide, with the ability to control it from a remote land-based site. This capability not only enhances operational flexibility but also ensures that critical missions can be executed efficiently and safely, regardless of geographical constraints.
