Vision4ce has unveiled a video that showcases its AI-driven real-time video processing, tracking, and classification detection technology. This demonstration highlights the capabilities of the company’s CHARM technology, which effectively maintains closed-loop tracking of a quadcopter by processing video from an uncooled thermal sensor. This system is particularly suited for integration into unmanned platforms, including UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) and UGVs (unmanned ground vehicles), utilized in various applications such as surveillance, reconnaissance, force protection, and counter-drone operations.
At the core of the CHARM 100NX is an embedded NVIDIA Xavier board, featuring a multicore ARM processor and a robust GPU. This setup provides AI-augmented high-speed video and image processing capabilities, enhanced by Vision4ce’s complex DART video tracking software. DART offers advanced functionalities, including centroid and edge measurement, feature-based correlation algorithms, adaptive background removal, and effective clutter rejection.
The CHARM 100NX video tracking solution is available as a standalone embedded board, equipped with two SD/HD/3G/6G SDI inputs and two outputs. Its compatibility with a variety of cameras, displays, and sensors makes it an excellent choice for numerous unmanned systems that demand real-time video and image processing, tracking, and classification detection capabilities.
