The XChange3031 from X-ES is a ruggedized 3U VPX Ethernet switch designed for embedded applications in harsh unmanned environments. Engineered for non-blocking, wire-speed data throughput, it supports a high-density interface layout including a 40GBASE-KR4 backplane port, multiple 10GBASE-KR and 10GBASE-T connections, and up to eight 1000BASE-T ports.

Conduction-cooled and REDI-compliant per VITA 48, it provides robust performance across variable deployment conditions while offering jumbo frame support up to 10 kB, IPv6 capabilities, and IEEE 1588v2 precision timing. Functioning as a fully managed Layer 2 switch, the XChange3031 supports VLAN tagging, link aggregation, spanning tree variants, SNMP management, port security, QoS, and multicast filtering.

Optional integration with the XChange6300 Cisco IOS-XE® Embedded Services Router transforms the unit into a powerful Layer 3 router for tactical networking scenarios. Designed for deployment within modular open systems architectures, the XChange3031 offers flexible configuration options, advanced diagnostics, and compatibility with embedded development platforms, making it ideal for next-generation autonomous vehicle and C4ISR payload networks.
